RACES: If you have never been to the dirt track races at Crandon International Off Road Raceway located less than 5 min from the house, you don’t know what you are missing. People come from around the world to watch the Red Bull World Cup just a few miles away! FISHING: Clear Lake is a great panfish and bass lake that offers good action year round. Whether it is with your kids off the dock with bobbers, throwing top water for big bass on your boat, or setting tip-ups out for northern, you are bound to see some action! Also less than 3 miles away is Lake Metonga, which is a premier fishing lake in Wisconsin. Come up in late spring through early fall for exceptional trout fishing on over 475 miles of classified trout streams. HIKING: Crandon is part of the Nicolet National Forest and holds tons of hiking trails for your enjoyment. LAONA STEAMTRAIN: Take the family back in time with a ride on the last remaining authentic steam train operating in the state of Wisconsin. The train takes you back to the Camp 5 Museum which includes a petting zoo, museum, and old settlement buildings. A great side activity for families with kids. SNOWMOBILING: Crandon is a snowmobiler fan favorite as it is a hub for multiple trails like Blackbear Sportsmen’s, Lumberjack Memorial, and Wolf River State Trail to name a few!
